“The science of life”

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a science in balancing the energies on all levels of your being, the mother of all healing.

Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. Each person has a particular pattern of energy—an individual combination of physical, mental and emotional characteristics—which comprises their own constitution.

This constitution is determined at conception by a number of factors and remains the same throughout one’s life. Many factors, both internal and external, act upon us to disturb this balance and are reflected as a change in one’s constitution from the balanced state. Examples of these are emotional and physical stresses include one’s emotional state, diet and food choices, seasons and weather, physical trauma, daily stressors, tension, habits, work and family relationships. This creates energetic obstacles in our body mind causing dis-ease.

Detoxing the body through the food we eat, certain herbs, practices like mediation and pranayama clear these blockages and bring balance to our energies, in turn bringing health and well being on all levels of our being. This is the science of Ayurveda and yoga.

“In Ayurveda the energies of creation can be split into 3 types vatta, pitta and kapha. We are all these 3 energies in different quantities which change over the period of our life. Bringing them into balance is what brings health, well being and peace.”

The science of yoga

It is important to understand the make up of our being. To apply the correct practices and eat the right foods for our unique make up. To be able to recognise when an energy is out of balance we can apply the right foods, herbs and practices, to bring that energy back into balance.

THE 3 DOSHAS

Creation is comprised of 3 energies made up of the 5 elements. The energies are to be balanced for optimal health and well being. In Ayurveda we learn to balance these energies. Becoming aware of their ever changing nature and learning what foods to eat, herbs to take and practice’s to apply to keep them in balance.

Chantelle - Sacred Fire

“This has honestly got me out of a spiralling depression, every day since I have been implementing the practices Hollie asked me to do and I am already feeling much better within myself and finding joy in the things I had lost. Hollie has a loverly personality full of wisdom, she has a love and zest for life lots of Shakti (she would say) which is contagious and makes you want to find that in yourself. She is truly authentic and passionate about helping others. An abundance of qualities a true teacher should possess. As someone with low self esteem I can shy away from things easily, however Hollies sessions have given me the confidence in myself. Hollie will never make you feel you aren’t advanced enough or not enlightened enough. Without this fear of judgement, combined with the ancient techniques and genuine loving and caring vibes Hollie gives us in class I feel like I am good enough which translates into my daily life.”

Ariel - Ayurveda & Yoga Course

“I have suffered many digestive issues most of my life, the cleansing kriyas really helped me and my digestive issues disappeared. I have had a bad relationship with my body most of my life, the course really helped me to honour my body and take care of it. Hollie is full of ancient knowledge that I am so grateful for. I particularly loved the Shakti dance sessions I felt free and am more aware of what I am putting into my body, how I treat it and I feel a lot more connected to nature, nature really is our medicine.”

Lilly -Ayuveda and yoga Course

“I have learnt so much about myself on this course. There is so much wisdom and information that we are never taught about our bodies. Western medicine really only treats the symptoms which leaves us taking medicine when this ancient wisdom goes to the root cause of illness and disease. I have lived with eczema most of mu life never knowing why, since learning about Ayurveda and the 3 doshas I realised my diet was not helping at all ( ever though I eat what I thought was healthy). I came to understand my pitta was too high which makes a lot of sence. Hollie has so much knowledge and is so passionate about sharing this knowledge to help others with illness, disease and other issues. Im so grateful to have come across this course its has been truly life changing for me”.

Dawn - Ayurveda & Yoga Course

“This course will blow your mind, since the course I feel a lot less stressed and my anxiety has come down less and less. I have a lot more energy and I am lot more aware of the foods I am eating and feeding my family. The yoga on this course is not like the normal classes I have been taking there is a lot more emphasis on health and what is right for you. I love my new self care practices and feel I am a lot more happier in myself. I honour my moon cycle now and take rest and nourish my body rather than punishing it. I have stared to see changes in my children too they are a lot less hyper, even my husband has noticed the changes in me. I wished I had come across this course years ago yoga is not what we think it is and I believe we all need this knowledge and practices to live a healthier happier life thank you for your wisdom Hollie you had a huge impact on me and my family”
